We currently need bird stewards to volunteer for 2-3 hour shifts at Huguenot Memorial Park. Volunteers will assist with red knot protection and beach-nesting birds. Education and engaging visitors at the park in issues facing beach-nesting birds is key to our shorebirds' success. We particularly need to insure successful nesting this year due to the inevitable losses in the Gulf of Mexico. Come on out and enjoy our beautiful beach while helping the birds!
