Speaker: E. Natasha Vanderhoff, Associate Professor of Biology & Marine Science, Jacksonville University

Many birds rely on plants for food, consuming their nutritious fruit, and in return plants rely on birds to disperse their seeds.  This mutualistic relationship has important consequences for both birds and plants alike, especially in an age of invasive species.  Dr. Vanderhoff of Jacksonville University will provide an overview of seed dispersal and some of the latest scientific research on seed dispersal via birds.
