Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is a 1.5-mile public beach and city park located at Mayport in the Jacksonville Beaches area. It consists of 447 acres of mature coastal hammock, which is increasingly rare to find along Florida's heavily developed Atlantic coast. The freshwater fingerlakes here support Anhingas, wading birds and a variety of waterfowl. The hardwood hammock has trails where migratory songbirds are common in season. On the beachfront you can find terns, gulls and other shorebirds. Look out over the ocean for gannets, loons, sea ducks and grebes. In winter there have been occasional sightings of Red-throated Loons, Pomarine and Parasitic Jaegers.

We'll meet on the lake side by the playground and picnic area, near the bath house. First right turn after you enter the park and all the way to the end of the road.

Fee: $5 per car (up to 6 people) cash only.
