We will walk on the trails, looking for lingering Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Summer Tanagers, and hopefully the resident Bald Eagle. In addition, we hope to see the usual resident birds, such as Titmice, Chickadees, House Finch, Red-bellied and Red-headed woodpeckers, and some early fall warblers. We will search for ducks and other water birds and search the skies for migrating hawks. This is a great field trip for novice birders.Meet at Camp Chowenwaw in the main parking lot at the ranger building. Camp Chowenwaw is located on Highway 17, in Green Cove Springs.
