Water for Florida's Future

We are fortunate this year to have our annual Audubon Assembly so close! Join other Auduboners for networking, skill building and the latest in conservation science! All this will all be on tap for this important conference for all of us who care about natural Florida.

This special session will focus on water for the environment and is based on the idea of public interest. When water is not properly conserved, birds, other wildlife, and people are harmed.  When water is poorly managed through drainage projects, the harmful effect of droughts and stormwater excess are made worse. Degraded water quality from excess nutrients adds to the challenges of restoring water for natural systems.

People involved in water quality, water management, and ecosystem restoration efforts will discuss the future of Florida’s water needs and highlight Florida's most pressing water issues. Join us at this Saturday morning session to learn more about Florida's water crisis.

Registration desk opens at 7 a.m. Specific times for field trips, sessions, luncheon, award's banquet and keynote presentation can be found here.
